The Gulf Coast Symphony Chamber Orchestra performs Amy Beach’s Gaelic Symphony. In 1896, Gaelic Symphony was first symphony by an American woman composer to gain international attention. Inspired by her heritage, Beach draws upon the “unpretentious beauty” of traditional Irish folk melodies.
