The Fellows of the Gulf Coast Symphony will be presenting their first-ever sensory friendly concert for audience members with autism and related disabilities. The reality is that the traditional concertgoing experience is inaccessible to many in our community. In an effort to improve the current culture of classical music, Gulf Coast Symphony welcomes people with sensory disabilities and their friends and family to our innovative sensory friendly concert experience. Guests can expect a welcoming environment with flexible seating, entry, and exit, reduced stimuli in the form dimmed lights and muted sounds, headphones for individuals who are sound-sensitive (bringing your own is encouraged,) fidgets, a quiet/cool down space, scarves, feather boas, and sensory/fidget toys.
